Tehran’s foreign secretary Abbas Araqchi stated on Thursday that he was willing to travel to Europe for discussions of Tehran’s nuclear program, with France indicating that France was even prepared to engage in dialogue if Tehran demonstrated its serious engagement.
Iran wants to capitalize on the speed of US-to-US nuclear negotiations that will continue in Oman on Saturday, as well as discussions with Russia and China earlier this year. Tehran is keeping its options available, as evidenced by its reach out to the Western powers group to a 2015 nuclear deal, which include Germany, France, and Britain.
Tehran and the three European countries, or E3, have been holding discussions about their relationships and the atomic matter since September. Although Tehran started direct discussions with US President Donald Trump’s administration earlier this month, Western officials had previously stated they were looking into a new appointment with Iran.
Iran’s ties with the E3 have had ups and downs historically. They are already over, according to Araqchi, who posted the news on X. ” I once more suggest politics. I’ve had my subsequent consultations in Beijing and Moscow, and I’m ready to make the first move by making visits to Paris, Berlin, and London. The judge of E3 has the game today.
Christophe Lemoine, a spokeswoman for France’s foreign ministry, said the E3 favored dialogue and added that” Iran had resolutely participate in this path.”
