TOI corresponded from Washington: The United States on Friday urged India to hunt down the Islamist terrorists who murdered 26 Hindus in Pahalgam amid continued American support for New Delhi despite Islamabad raising alarm about an all-out war if India acted to eliminate terrorists in Pakistan.
In a speech that was swift and without words, US intelligence spokesman Tulsi Gabbard characterized this as an” Islamic criminal assault, targeting and killing 26 Hindus.” We are with you and help you as you search for those accountable for this horrible attack.
In a phone call to Prime Minister Modi from President Trump, Gabbard, who is Hindu-American, said he would “full aid” India to prosecute the terrorists.
In response to the terrorist attack in Pulwama, Trump has recently stated that India has the right to self-defense in the event of terrorism. The most recent statements appeared to suggest that Washington would not have any problems if Pakistan, especially after a Pakistani secretary publicly acknowledged violence support and laid the blame on the West for the country’s decline.
Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif acknowledged in a frequently circulated meeting on Sky News that “we’ve been doing this dirty job for the United States and the West, including Britain,” before a sour press reaction in Pakistani press about a government official who had accused his own state of violence.
While Khwaja referred to the US funding of the so-called mujaheddin during the war in Afghanistan to expel the Soviets, Washington now acknowledges Pakistan’s pivotal mujahideen toward India in the country’s current system, which has little tolerance for Islamist extremism.
No nation should be forced to accept such terrible terrorist attacks year after year. We all bear responsibility for this, especially the United States, for failing to hold Pakistan responsible for using violence as a resource of its foreign policy for years, according to Jeff Smith, Director of the Eastern Research Center at The Heritage Foundation.
Smith urged the Trump presidency to “break new boundaries” and” strongen terrorism assistance with India” if the Pahalgam assault, like so many of its successors, is linked to Pakistan,” there must be accountability.”
Gabbard appeared to go even further, encouraging a search for the offenders outside of India’s borders, while leading a massive intellect machine with the tools and ability to use information.
Following the most recent attack, US support for Trump is greatly different from the meticulous restraint that Democratic administrations used. The strategy also has a significant impact on the liberal-leaning US media, including the New York Times, which featured the headline” At least 24 tourists killed by militants in Kashmir.”
The Republican-controlled House Foreign Affairs Committee read the article and read,” Hey, @nytimes we fixed it for you,” replacing the word “militants.” This was a plain and simple TERRORIST ATTACK.
When it comes to TERRORISM, the NYT is cut from reality, it continued, “whether it’s India or Israel.”
