Following a fight with liver cancer, famous professional golfer Jay Sigel passed away on Saturday at the age of 81.
Sigel was regarded as the best amateur golfer in America since World War II, according to the United States Golf Association ( USGA ). The famous golfer won three U.S. Mid-Amateur championships and two U.S. Amateur titles. Moreover, Sigel captained the U.S. team twice and participated in nine USA Walker Cup teams.
Sigel even won the Pennsylvania Open four times, as well as the Northeast Amateur, the Porter Cup, and the Sunnehanna Amateur, according to the USGA.

This caused him to reevaluate his plans to play golf professionally and decide to start an insurance company while he competed as an professional.
