According to a recent report, Pete Hegseth, the secretary of defense, threatened to “polygraph” two major American military figures.
According to a new Wall Street Journal report, ABC News reported that it confirmed a previous statement that claimed two major Pentagon officials were threatened with “polygraphs” at at least twice during sessions due to leaks of knowledge by Pentagon officials to the internet.
According to a source with knowledge of the sessions, Hegseth’s threats were made in response to the media’s reports that Elon Musk, the mind of Tesla’s CEO and Department of Government Efficiency, would be briefed on China. Hegseth reportedly reportedly yelled, “I’ll hook you up to a f-cking polygraph” during a conference with Adm. Christopher Grady, who was chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the time.
The unnamed source claimed that Hegseth after threatened a similar test during a conference with Lt. Gen. Doug Sims, the unnamed source told ABC News.
The New York Times  reported last month that Musk was going to meet with Trump presidency officials at the Pentagon. Two U.S. officials claimed that a lecture on the probable U.S. army’s war plans against China would be included in the meeting with Musk, according to the outlet.
President Donald Trump and additional leadership figures have repeatedly denied that the Pentagon would be presenting Musk with information on the potential conflict strategies of the United States against China. Trump once told writers,” He’s it for DOGE, not there for China, and if you ever mentioned China, I think he’d walk out of the room.”
Additionally, Hegseth addressed The New York Times record in a public address, warning that the document was intended to” sort of destroy whatever marriage the Pentagon has with Elon Musk.”
Hegseth continued,” We welcomed him immediately to the Pentagon to discuss DOGE, efficiency, and enhancements.” It was a pleasant, casual conversation. The remaining investigating was fabricated. There were no Chinese war plans, and there were no American battle programs. There were no hidden objectives.”
