Donald Trump, the president of the United States, said he had been too busy to give First Lady Melania Trump a birthday gift on Saturday because she turned 55. Instead, the pair skipped Pope Francis’s death in Rome and chose to have a dinner aboard Air Force One.
Trump stated to writers on the political plane,” She’s got a working birthday,” adding,” I haven’t had time to buy offers; it’s been really busy. He declared,” I’m taking her for breakfast on the Boeing — I’m taking her for supper on Air Force One,” adding that the meal on board would serve as a party.
The Trumps skipped any plans to dine out in the Italian capital and flew directly back to the US on Friday ( local time ) to Rome for the late pontiff’s funeral.
The president, who is now in his second word, claimed little room was left for private planning due to the demands of office, which included significant problems like taxes, Ukraine, Iran, and Gaza. He even made fun of Melania telling herself to go talk to reporters and return her to the “lion’s den.”
The pair was seen before that time boarding Air Force One at a Washington-area atmosphere base, Melania wearing a yellow trench coat and glasses. The Trumps have mainly lived apart from one another since his return to business, with Melania still living in New York where their child Barron studies at the university, but they have occasionally made public appearances up, most just hosting the White House Easter egg spin on Monday.
Melania and Trump split up next month, with Trump staying in Florida and Stormy Daniels attending Trump’s hush-money test in New York. He had said at the time that it would be good to be with her that he was present for a skewed trial.
