Model Lucy Markovic, who first gained notoriety as a contestant on” Australia’s Next Top Model” before launching her own clothing company, including Givenchy and Versace, passed away.
Elite Model Management NYC, which represented the type, revealed Markovic’s passing on Thursday on Instagram. Markovic, who was referred to as a “bright shining mild,” passed away from a “brave war” with a rare brain condition, according to the management firm. She was 27.
A “tangle of blood vessels that creates irregular connections between arteries and veins in the brain” ( AMG), according to the Mayo Clinic , describes Markovic as having an AVM. The vital blood flow between the lungs and the heart is impeded by a mental AVM. What causes a mind AVM is unknown.
In the announcement made on Thursday, Elite also referred to Lucy as having an “incredibly dry sense of humor,” a comfortable and engaging personality, and a love for modeling.
She “brought beauty, power, and beauty to her work,” the statement continued. She brought herself with her comfort, laughing, and light, but more than that, she brought herself.
Jelena Markovic’s girl confirmed the woman’s passing on Friday night.
