The marriage of a Coast Guardsman on active duty was detained this week by federal immigration authorities inside the home residence at the U.S. Naval Air Station in Key West, Florida.
According to Lt. Cmdr., the family is certainly a part of the Coast Guard and was detained by Homeland Security Investigations in accordance with a valid eradication attempt. In a speech, Steve Roth confirms Thursday’s imprisonment. The Coast Guard works closely with HSI and others to uphold national regulations, including those relating to emigration.
The newlywed couple was relocating to the local Naval Air Station, where they were residing.
The person’s job card expired around 2017, and, according to the Associated Press, she was designated for elimination from the United States a few years later. In the spring of this year, she and the Coast Guardsman wed.
During a regular security screening necessary for basic access, the person’s name was identified as an issue. The Naval Criminal Investigative Service was subsequently contacted by base employees.  ,
On Thursday, Homeland Security Investigations officers from Homeland Security Investigations and NCIS and Coast Guard safety officers received permission to enter the assembly at the Coast Guardsman’s house.
The person is apparently nonetheless being held. Immigration authorities have no disclosed her nationality.
