Lahore: Pakistan’s defence secretary said Monday that a military invasion by neighbouring India was inevitable in the aftereffects of a dangerous violent assault on tourists in Kashmir last year, as tensions rise between the two nuclear-armed nations.
The strike killed 26 people and triggered indignation in India, along with calls for action against Pakistan. ” We have reinforced our troops because it is something which is inevitable then. So in that position some corporate decisions have to be taken, so those decisions have been taken,” defence secretary Khawaja Muhammad Asif said.
Asif said India’s speech was ramping off and that Pakistan’s government had briefed the state on the possibility of an American attack. He did not go into more details on his reasons for thinking an invasion was imminent. After next Tuesday’s J& K harm, India identified two suspected insurgents as Pakistani. Islamabad, but, denied any responsibility and called for a natural research. Asif said Pakistan was on high alert and that it would just use its army of atomic weapons if” there is a clear danger to our life”.
