
President Donald Trump did sign an executive order on Monday requiring professional individuals to talk English, according to a statement confirmed by the Washington Examiner.
Trump signed an executive order in March making English “the standard dialect of the United States. ”
Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy will be directed “to retract and change direction to improve evaluation procedures for conformity with English skills requirements. ” He’ll even evaluate methods for verifying the authenticity of business moving certificates.
In contrast, Duffy may be ordered to enhance the working parameters of truck drivers through “additional administrative, regulation, or police activities, ” under the administrative purchase.
The report says that a recommendation that business owners read and speak English “has never been enforced. ” The get “mandates revising out-of-service requirements to ensure individuals violating English skills rules are placed out-of-service, enhancing motorway protection. ”
Rep. Harriet Hageman (R-WY ) sent a letter to the Transportation Department earlier this month urging it to reconsider its guidelines regarding commercial truck inspectors not being allowed to pull over non-English-speaking drivers.
Not being able to do so is a “major health concern for all individuals, which is exactly why these rules were promulgated in the first place, ” Hageman wrote, adding that the document places “millions of British motorists in danger. ”
In a post on X, American Truckers said, “Incredible! ! ! Thank you for addressing the American Truck Driver Community! ! We look forward to this announcement! ! ! ! ”
In Trump’s March executive order, he reasoned why English should be the official language.

“To promote unity, cultivate a shared American culture for all citizens, ensure consistency in government operations, and create a pathway to civic engagement, it is in America’s best interest for the Federal Government to designate one — and only one — official language, ” he wrote. “Establishing English as the official language will not only streamline communication but also reinforce shared national values, and create a more cohesive and efficient society. ”
Trump is expected to sign several executive orders on Monday afternoon as he nears his 100th day in office on Tuesday.
