The shocking details of the home of Kai-Ji Adam Lo have been revealed as the 30-year-old person has been charged with eight counts of murder after his brazen travelling of his SUV mowed down at least 11 people at the Lapu Lapu Day event in Vancouver. Police earlier reported that the person was known to them under certain conditions and that he had an extensive history of mental illness.
After his name was revealed, American media tracked down his social media posts, his companions and found out that the home has been beset with calamities.
Brother killed in 2024
His brother Alexander was killed last month, Globe and Mail reported citing a GoFundMe page that Lo founded after his brother was found dead on January 28, 2024 in a home two km from where they live.
It was a suspected crime and authorities arrested Dwight William Kematch on the field and charged him with second-degree death. The test in the case is awaited.
Lo described the loss of his nephew as emotionally and financially shattering.
Mother attempted murder
Shortly after his brother’s death, his family attempted suicide and was taken into intensive treatment. The neighborhood said she remained in hospital for months. “My mommy took out significant funding to create him a modest little house, an endeavour already marked by unpleasant encounters with builders, ” Lo wrote on GoFundMe.
“The revelation that he’ll not return home discomfort both me and my economically disturbed mother, unable to obtain proper funeral costs. I hope he can find peace with a respectable goodbyes,” Lo wrote about his son’s death. Lo wrote that he would consider to have his brother recognized by Cirque du Soleil, where Alexander had worked.
It is not yet known where Lo worked, but companions said he used to be house most of the times. Shouting, yelling sounds were repeated from the home and authorities used to make regular visits to the home. While the neighbors could not explain any explanation, it could be in relation with the exploration into his son’s death.
