More than 100 suspected illegal immigrants were arrested in a startling picture early on Sunday at a Colorado Springs, Colorado, after-hours bar raid by US federal agencies.
The Drug Enforcement Administration ( DEA ) posted the video of the incident on their X handle, in which the DEA personnel stormed the building as customers fled in panic.
Additionally, the film showed lots of clubbers raising their hands in ostensibly retreat, some facing the wall or lying on the ground. Additionally, DEA officials were handcuffed, and there were also lots of handcuffs.
Over 300 law enforcement officers from several agencies participated in the attack. Following months of extensive research into the nightclub’s alleged links to trafficking, drug trafficking, and violent crime, it was finally announced. During the activity, authorities discovered cocaine and seized an unknown number of firearms.
The DEA released video that showed officials announcing their arrival and instructing clubgoers to depart with their hands raised. After videos showed dozens of people leaving the building after providers broke a window to enter. Many of the imprisoned were wearing cuffs, and people were waiting to be transported along the street.
Colorado Springs is waking up to a safer community today, according to specific representative Jonathan Pullen, who oversees the DEA’s Rocky Mountain Division. The city, which is the second-largest in Colorado, is located about 70 miles ( 113 kilometers ) south of Denver.
Most of the drugs “hit the surface” when the police arrived at the entrance, Pullen said.
A few active-duty military personnel were among those detained who were either visiting the pub or working it as armed security guards. For excellent warrants, several customers were also detained. More than 200 people were reportedly inside the team during the attack, according to officials.
The suspected undocumented immigrants were taken into custody by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement ( ICE).
US President Donald Trump shared the DEA attack video on his Truth Social account. ” A big attack last day on some of the worst people illegally operating in our country — drug dealers, killers, and other violent criminals of all kinds and measurements,” he said.
Trump’s strict immigration laws have sparked an aggressive campaign of protection that has often clashed with federal judge decisions. His government’s efforts have significantly slowed immigration to the southern border, and they have resulted in the confinement of more than 1, 000 worldwide college students, some of whom later experienced temporary resumption of legal status.
