The believe in the at least 11 fatal shootings at the Lapu Lapu Day celebration on Saturday has been identified as 30-year-old Kai-Ji Adam Lo, according to the Vancouver officers.
After allegedly driving into a group of festivity individuals celebrating Filipino culture, Lo, a mentally disturbed motorist, is facing eight counts of second-degree murder. The tragic incident occurred close to the Memorial Causeway Bridge in Vancouver as the festival was wrapping up.
Troubling history of mental illness and tragedy in the family
Just before the invasion, Lo’s home appeared to have attempted to get him mental health care. According to resources, a family member called a hospital’s psychiatric unit to request assistance for Lo, who was believed to be having fantasies and fear. However, it’s not known if any decisions were made right away following the telephone.
Officials have been pointing out that Lo’s invasion appears to be the result of his previous history of mental diseases, and no violence.
