The USS Harry S Truman airplane ship was being towed, but a US F/A-18E Super Hornet fighter plane reportedly slipped off the ship while it was being towed into the Red Sea on Monday.
According to the Navy, the fighter plane slipped as seamen tore it into the airport bay on the USS Harry S Truman. The pulling team lost control of the aircraft as it fell into the Red Sea while assigned to Reach Fighter Squadron 136.
When the proceed team lost control of the airplane, the F/A-18E was still in the aircraft sea. The Navy said in a assertion that the plane and tow vehicle were lost overboard.
Before both the crew members on the hauling vehicle and the cockpit of the Super Hornet went over into the Red Sea, they carefully jumped out. All was unharmed, despite one sailor’s minor wounds.
The Navy stated that the sailors towing the plane took immediate actions to move clear of the plane before it fell overboard.
