In a new radio interview, former First Lady Michelle Obama spoke about her greatest fears, stating that she worries about newcomers and people of color who she believes are unfairly targeted by President Donald Trump’s deportation policies.
Michelle reflected on growing up with concerns related to her race, worries that, according to her nephew Craig Robinson, have evolved but not vanished, in a conversation on Monday’s show of” On Objective with Jay Shetty.”
When asked about the most difficult new test of that concern, Obama said,” In this current environment, for me, it’s, you know, what’s happening,” Obama said.
” So it’s not the concern for myself again,” she continued. I travel in a four-car parade on a policeman escort. I’m Michelle Obama. Even though my girls are a little recognized, I still worry about them in the world.
Her words grew louder as she described a deeper worry for those who had no idea who or what they were.
Obama criticized what she referred to as “indiscriminately determining who belongs and who doesn’t” without adequate constitutional protections. She said,” Those judgments aren’t being made with judges and with credited method.”
She warned that decisions are extremely based on lock assessments:” You don’t look like something that belongs. Simply by looking at you, I can tell whether you’re a good man or not.
I worry for people of color all over this nation because I know there is so much discrimination, racism, and knowledge that fuel those kinds of choices, Obama continued. And that frightens me, too. It keeps me awake at nights.
