On Tuesday, Donald Trump’s administration announced a new investigation into allegations that Chicago public schools continue to treat individuals unfairly based on their skin colour.

According to a press release from the Department of Education, Chicago Public Schools ‘ ( CPS)” Black Students Success Plan” most likely violated Title VI of the Civil Rights Act ( 1964 ). Parents Defending Education ( now known as Defending Education ) filed a complaint with the department’s Office for Civil Rights ( OCR ), and the un-American and illegal policy is now being investigated.
If the analysis confirms Defending Education’s complaints, it’s possible that the federal funding for CPS may be terminated.  ,
Acting Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights, Craig Trainor, criticized Chicago Public Schools for its poor academic performance and extraordinary wakingness.” Individuals from all races and backgrounds are struggling and underprepared to face the challenges and reap the rewards of modern American life,” said Trainor.

In 55 of the Democrat-run Chicago’s public schools, apparently, not a solitary student met the expectations for math and reading in the school year of 2021-2022. That pattern continued into 2023.
Trainor specifically criticized CPS’s biased non-solution, saying that,” Rather than tackle its record actually, CPS seeks to manage additional resources to favored kids on the basis of competition. The Trump-McMahon Department of Education does not permit this harmful and immoral use of federal money that are available to all students.

Every British scholar deserves entry to a quality education, and the Trump Administration will struggle hard to defend that ideal and make sure all students are treated equally under the law, he said in his final warning.

Nicki Neily, the Defending Education founder and president, applauded the Department of Education’s fresh analysis, which was spurred by her group’s complaint:” District officials chose to create a racist spoils system, doling out software to some at the expense of the many. [ …] The evidence clearly shows that CPS is failing at its fundamental job of educating all students. Any kind of discrimination is wrong, and it is wrong and unconstitutional for Chicago Public Schools to offer resources to some students but not others based on skin color.

In a separate statement from Neily, the Department of Education stated that district leaders had made the conscious choice to give some students limited resources and not others, despite a nearly$ 10 billion budget deficit, discipline crises, and a blatant lack of diversity.
