Tim Walz, the governor of code talk”>Minnesota and former Democratic vice presidential nominee, continued his “listening trip” at a Harvard Kennedy School website, explaining that Kamala Harris had chosen him as her code talk”>2024 running mate to help” script talk to white people.”
According to Walz,” I may argue because we did a lot of wonderful democratic things in Minnesota that improved people’s lives, but I likewise was on the ticket, very seriously, because I had code talk to light guys watching football fixing their trucks and doing that, that I may put them at ease,” he said to the audience on Monday night.
He continued,” Look, you can do this and vote for this.”” I was the permission structure,” he said.

With the exception of Minnesota, Walz acknowledged the campaign’s shortcomings, saying,” If you look across those swing states, we didn’t get enough of those votes.”
Walz responded to his message with the usual bluntness when asked by moderator Brittany Shepherd, a national political reporter for ABC News, about whether it should have gone beyond the campaign trail and onto television.
” I am aware of myself. I believe I’ll give you some good things, but I also believe I’ll give you some bad things, he said. Someone “must make the call” regarding what to publish. Those are just choices that were made, and I don’t believe it’s fair to cast doubt on them after the fact.
The most qualified candidate to run for president in history was praised by his former running mate, who added,” We had the most qualified person ever at the top of the ticket.” That alone ought to have won the game.
Walz also criticized President Donald Trump by contrasting their credentials. ” I believe history will prove me right because there was a very unqualified person on the other side,” he said. And we had to decide how to proceed with that claim. Was it worthwhile to refer to him as “unclear”? Or was it preferable to make a pitch that we are different and that our policies would “improve people’s lives”?
He emphasized that Democrats are expanding their communication channels to include more platforms in order to connect with voters.
” Both Gavin Newsom’s podcast and Bernie Sanders ‘ rallies have room,” Walz said.
Walz made headlines in March for remarks made on Newsom’s podcast about his masculinity, claiming that his appearance was putting off conservatives.
Walz said,” I think I scare them a little bit, which is ] why they spend so much time with me.” Walz continued,” No, I’m serious — because they know I can fix a truck,” while Newsom laughed. They are aware that I’m not a bully about this.
On the campaign trail, Walz has emphasized his background as a football coach and avid hunter, but he also has received right-wing ridicule. He has been called” Tampon Tim” by critics, mocking both his efforts to promote menstrual products in public spaces and his occasionally awkward public appearances.

Caitlyn Jenner, a former Olympian and transgender advocate, posted on X:” I am more’ masculine’ than this ( clown emoji ) Gov Walz.
Walz said he is still perplexed by the attacks,” It just baffled me how long they tried to attack me for not being masculine enough in their vision.”
