Donald Trump, the president of the United States, did not miss a chance to target defence minister Pete Hegseth‘s new controversy, rudely calling him the “least provocative person at the table” while patting his back.
Trump said at a government appointment on Wednesday that” I could start with Pete on the left because he is my least controversial people at the desk” and that” we all know how good he is.”
Hegseth, 44, laughed as he retorted,” I think we’re questionable because we’re over the objective,” before bringing up Trump’s accomplishments in his first 100 days and praising him.
Hegseth said,” What we have witnessed since your election and the opening has been nothing short of a interviewing renaissance.” The American defense, under the leadership of President Donald Trump, is what the men and women of America want to visit.
Hegseth has lately been the subject of investigation due to two major Pentagon departures and two Signal team chats. The first was the result of a conversation between national security adviser Mike Waltz and Hegseth about the Houthi harm programs. Similar topics were discussed during the next chat, in which case Hegseth claimed it was “informal” and “unclassified.”
Colin Carroll, Dan Caldwell, and Darin Selnick’s sackings were among the notable absences at the Pentagon. Additionally, John Ullyot and Joe Kasper left, with Ullyot writing a crucial Politico article about Hegseth’s management.
Through Megyn Kelly and Tucker Carlson conversations where former employees discussed Pentagon politics, these events gained public notice. Hegseth has remained in Trump’s mind, telling The Atlantic,” I think he’s going to get it all up.” I had a favorable conversation with him, but I also had a conversation with him.
Hegseth praised Pentagon accomplishments at the meeting on Wednesday, including the development of the” Golden Dome” missile defense system, the F-47 fighter jet, and border security measures. He concluded by saying,” We ripped wakeness out of the military” and,” Because of your leadership, sir, I believe we’re making the military great again.” Different people at the pantry meeting gave similar kudos.
