He served in the White House under President George W. Bush and served in the Pentagon before launching a political career.
Waltz, who represents Florida’s 6th District, was elected to Congress in 2018. He served on important boards like the US House of Representatives, the second Green Beret, and the US House of Representatives.
He was well-known for his sturdy anti-China policies and also served on the House China Task Force. Trump praised Waltz as a recognized defense analyst when he took over as national security director in November.
