ANALYSIS: A study found 56 arts departments, all of which had no Democratic professors.
No one really conversations that anymore, but it’s widely accepted by the majority of Americans that university faculty as a whole are a bunch of socialists.
However, it’s occasionally necessary to estimate how biased our country’s colleges and universities are.
This academic year, The College Fix did really that, looking through the schedules of STEM and humanities departments to see what’s going on.
We discovered a whopping 59 academic departments that have no recognizable Republican professor in any way, which might shock you or even won’t.
But wait, there’s more. We focused on areas where GOP yard symptoms outnumber cabbage milkshakes rather than campuses like UC Berkeley or NYU. 11 colleges in the red states of Georgia, Ohio, Florida, North Carolina, Arizona, and Oklahoma received our studies.
This bias was discovered in both humanities departments and STEM ones, according to the analysis conducted over the 2024-25 college year, though the uneven nature is most noticeable in the past.
The study identified three STEM departments, five humanities departments, and three STEM departments, all of which appeared to have a second GOP scholar, in which no one Democrat professor may be found. The positive aspects of this are that, sadly, the majority of STEM departments still employ at least a few Republican professors.
In comparison to 2, 181 Democrat professors, 5, 327 professors were identified in public voter registration data, and just 307 of those identified were Republican. There are 2, 181 causes why your doctor is likely to support Biden-Harris.

The majority of the professors we looked up were either liberal or nonaffiliated, but the majority of them were not in the voter rolls; maybe they don’t vote, or maybe they were unable to be identified beyond a shadow of a doubt. We kept it simple.
The Fix checked common sources like curriculum vitae and study papers to suit names with registrations when looking up each teacher. Another data, such as the estimated baby year, was compared to the birthday data that was included in the election statistics.
Some might say,” Who cares?” now. You have to wonder, though, if 56 humanities departments don’t have a single Republican words. Are individuals receiving all of their ideas? Some people believe Republicans simply aren’t into education. Perhaps, but when the gap is this large, it’s hard to believe it’s all a decision.
Political scholars are now dominant in college classrooms, perhaps in leaning straight states, according to the findings. Send one your way if they have a concern that discrimination in colleges and universities is exaggerated. We have the records.
