
Brian Montana, the guitar from the founding death-metal group Possessed, was identified as the man who was killed in a fight with authorities in California earlier this week.
The event started on Monday at 6 p.m. when a man, reportedly, reportedly started shooting into a friend’s house while people were inside at the moment. Following a brief stalemate, Montevani was shot by South San Francisco Police Department officers and began firing from a street.
While attempting to exchange pictures, the soldiers and Montana used cars as shelter.
Montana was later found dead at the scene. One neighbor had eat wounds and was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
A native claimed that a dispute over trees trimmings that fell into his yard caused the incident, which was reported to KRON 4 the.
Daniel Finnegan remarked,” It didn’t need to go that way.”
According to authorities, the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office is looking into the case.
Montana was one of the founding members of Possessed, a Bay Area dying metal group that was “often referred to as the pioneers of the genre,” AllMusic reported.
After a disagreement with bassist Mike Torrao, he left the group in 1985. The group disbanded in 1987 and reunited many days, but without Montana. In a split filming in 1989, Jeff Becerra suffered paralysis.
In an Instagram post, the band  confirmed Montana’s passing.
