Belgrade’s leader Aleksandar Vucic, who had cut off a trip to the US, was admitted to a military hospital in Belgrade on Saturday, and according to a physician, he was in a stable state.
Vucic’s hospitalization comes as he is facing a significant opposition movement in the city of Novi Sad after a fatal accident at a train depot.
After returning from the United States without meeting US President Donald Trump because of a chest pain, Vucic “was admitted to the Military Medical Academy soon,” according to his workplace, in Belgrade.
Cardiology specialist Dragan Dincic declared to reporters that his position was” firm and satisfactory,” which may allow him to be discharged within the day.
Vucic was reportedly experiencing “intense breasts pain” while traveling to the United States, where Dincic, the head of the Bosnian military’s health directorate, had American doctors give him a high blood pressure reading.
The chairman, in contrast to their advice, chose to go home, he said, adding that the American doctors conducted all the necessary tests.
However, Dincic claimed it was impossible to anticipate that the president would be able to resume his normal activities in the near future. He also claimed that Vucic had encountered” similar difficulties” three times in the previous ten years.
Vucic, who was elected in 2017 after serving as prime minister for three decades, was recently hospitalized for heart issues in 2019.
‘Fiasco’:
Vucic has been the subject of a storm of presentations that were sparked by the ceiling collapse at the Novi Sad train depot in November 2204, which resulted in the death of 16 people. Many in the Balkan region attribute the decline to persistent corruption and a lack of supervision over construction projects.
In a film released on his appearance in Florida, Vucic had stated that he planned to meet Trump twice and that he had had “important sessions” with leading Republican and US officials prior to his journey. Opposition characters were fast to refer to Vucic’s journey as a failure.
He is concealing his error by telling a tale about a sudden health issue that made him jump up to Belgrade. Zdravko Ponos, the head of the moderate Srce party and a vehement critic of Vucic, remarked in the 2022 national election that there were no medicines in American pharmacies.
The news also raises questions about Vucic’s commitment to Russia, where he is scheduled to attend events to commemorate the 80th commemoration of World War II’s finish on May 9.
Vucic stated on Thursday that he would keep his word with Vladimir Putin and travel to Moscow with 20 world leaders for the ceremony, which will be marked with great splendour and an army rally on Red Square.
However, the journey would have exposed Serbia’s desire to join the European Union, which has supported Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the president of Ukraine, stated that his country would never accept responsibility for the surveillance of unusual leaders in Russia.
The comments made by the Russian leader were criticized by Russia as” a primary danger” to the festivities.
