Cleveland Clinic nurse’s fatal stabbing has been solved for more than ten years, according to Ohio government, and she is the subject of recent murder charges against her original divorce lawyer, who has already spent time behind bars for lying to officers during the inspection.
Gregory J. Moore’s imprisonment on Friday is just the latest in a long-running cold case that hasn’t been solved by Ohio government since 2013. More than ten times, Liza Sherman’s body was discovered on a street in downtown Cleveland close to where she was scheduled to meet with Moore to explain her divorce, was stabbed.
According to records released on Friday, Moore was indicted on suspicion of murder, aggravated murder, theft, and crime. According to web information, he was detained by US Marshals in Texas on Sunday and was still in the prison there.

He claimed at the time that he regrets his earlier behavior.
According to the accusation from Friday, Moore allegedly intended to steal Sherman as a last-ditch effort to delay her upcoming breakup trial. The sealed records include communications between Moore and Sherman that show how he called her to the sealed business. According to the prosecution, she arrived and waited for more than an hour before making the decision to return to her car.
The indictment states that” an individual who was either Moore or an unidentified co-conspirator approached Sherman… circled behind her, chased her, and finally stabbed her over ten times during this time.”
Later that evening, Moore entered the office and messaged Sherman to fool the police, according to the indictment. On Sunday, Moore did never respond to an email. Lawyers claimed that Moore’s arraignment was scheduled for a later date because of their collaborative efforts with the FBI. In 2021, the warm case was transferred to the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
