According to an analysis of federal data, the Trump administration has abandoned studies of cancers and viruses that typically affect members of sexual minority groups and cut back efforts to stop a resurgence of sexually transmitted infections. This includes the removal of more than$ 800 million worth of research into the health of LGBTQ+ people. At least 323 of the 669 offers that the national institutes of health had terminated in whole or in piece as of early May, according to a review.
