Years ago, a young Luke Skywalker actor named Mark Hamill told Johnny Carson a funny tale about how he and Sir Alex Guinness ( Obi-Wan ) carried out comedic revenge on a dwarf who was playing extra roles ( Jawas, robots, etc. ). People on set could laugh at the actor’s jokes, aside from Alec Guinness, who Hamill described as” a waist high Don Rickles.”
Jack, the pint-sized graphic in question, had the support and irritation of his fellow performers. Because you don’t insert a pun in him, Hamill said,” You could never cope with him.” One of his running puns was that he thought it was insulting that he didn’t receive a chair with his name on it like the other players in the scene did. But he found this large, smooth rock in the Sahara Desert, and he used it every time he traveled to Africa, carrying it with him on a piece of adhesive tape and inking his name in everlasting on it. Before the vehicle could also unload our seats, We were already there, and he would have said,” Oh, did your vehicle break down or what?” while holding an umbrella, a small lemonade, some sunglasses, and sunlight oil.
Hamill discovered that Alec Guinness, a frequently reserved and critical person, had a mischievous side at dinner one night. Hamill was urged by Anthony Daniels (C-3PO ) to explain to Guinness how Jack had expressed such enthusiasm for the older artist. I am in complete admiration of Sir Alec Guinness, and I have no idea what to say because when I was younger in London, I may ride the bus all over town to see one of his movies,” Hamill quoted Jack.”

When Hamill inquired whether Jack had met Guinness while they were on the plane, Jack’s regular joke-cracking came up when he said,” Oh yeah, he’s a great man. When I boarded the plane, he immediately spoke to me. He remarked,” Get out of my manner.” Hamill became aware that he had been made fun of once more and was eager to find some ingenious retaliation.

When Hamill finished telling his tale,” Guinness chuckled, and he sort of stroked his beard, and we were in a large dining room, and Jack, this little dwarf, was over holding court — large laughs at the dinner table. And Guinness looked up at me and said,” What small person is he?” As Hamill famously said,” Jack out, and Guinness didn’t miss,”
We are now in the desert once two weeks later; it is completely empty forest everywhere you look. Never do anything but move with your eyes closed. And Guinness started very quietly walking toward Jack while he is sitting on his stone reading his book. And I responded,” This is it. The time has come. And I sort of passively watched. Guinness had the helmet on, much like that large dragon’s helmet, and he looks really foreboding. And he kept approving Jack as he grew more and more close. And Jack began to look round and consider,” Well, I’d greater say something.”
He was then about to greet him while off his stone. And Guinness lowered the hood and said,” Get out of my way!” Get up!!! ‘ and Jack was shaking as the body drained from his mouth. He merely looked about, as a way to avoid bumping into him anywhere you could go!

But Jack refused to stop laughing, yet when he was the target of a joke. When Jack said,” When you play a useful pun, you get the best skilled people in England,” Hammill grinned.
And Jack undoubtedly was correct in that regard! If there was ever a relationship between Alec Guinness and an professional,” The Force.” May the Force ( or Fourth ) be with you as he portrays Obi-Wan Kenobi today.
