After a weapon struck close to Israel’s largest international airport on Sunday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised to fight against Yemen’s Huthi separatists, which are supported by Iran.
In a video posted on Telegram, Netanyahu said,” We have acted against them in the past and we will work against them in the future, but I can’t go into specifics.”
A missile launched by Huthi insurgents hit nearer to Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport earlier on Sunday, injuring six people and temporarily halting all planes.
A huge volcano formed by the weapon less than a kilometer from the runway was formed close to the Terminal 3 parking lot. The runways or the switch received no reports of destruction.
The Israeli army claimed to have tried to catch the missile, but it’s not clear whether the damage was caused by the projectile or a defense system.
The Huthis claimed to have launched a fast weapon as a show of support for the Palestinians in Gaza.
Airfare from Air India was diverted.
An Air India journey from Delhi to the Jewish town was diverted to Abu Dhabi as a protection following the missile attack on Sunday near Tel Aviv.
Aircraft AI139, which is operated by a Boeing 787, was about an hour before the jet’s scheduled landing when the missile struck close to Ben Gurion Airport.
Additionally, Lufthansa Airlines announced that all Tel Aviv flights would be canceled until May 6 following the aircraft harm.
