Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the president of Ukraine, stated on Sunday that he “did not think” Russia may agree to a pending three-day truce in time for Moscow’s Victory Day celebrations.
A three-day peace, which coincides with Moscow’s May 9 ceremonies of the end of World War II in Europe, was ordered by Russian President Vladimir Putin, saying it would put Kyiv’s eagerness for long-term peace at risk.
Zelenskyy stated at a combined press conference with Czech President Petr Pavel in Prague that” this is not the first issue” and that these are not the first claims made by Russia to end the conflict.
Zelenskyy, whose nation has been fighting a Russian invasion since February 2022, said,” We understand who we are dealing with, we do not believe them.”
An absolute 30-day peace proposed by Kyiv and Washington in March was rejected by Moscow before.

He added that Russia had carried out more than 200 episodes on Saturday, citing a military review.
Zelenskyy continued,” So there is no faith ( in them )”.
Former Nato public Pavel said he would pay attention to those who would actually support a ceasefire, not those who were just discussing a will to implement one.
Putin may decide to end the war in one go, but he hasn’t shown any eagerness, Pavel continued.
Zelenskyy and his family arrived in Prague on Sunday for a two-day visit.
Since Russia’s war began in February 2022, the Czech Republic, a member of the European Union and NATO, has extended to Ukraine significant humanitarian and military aid.
It has welcomed more than half a million refugees from the war and provided the Russian army with weapons like tank, armored vehicles, and planes.
Prague even steers a German effort to provide Ukraine with artillery munitions, which Zelenskyy described at the press conference as “excellent.” The effort is mainly funded by Nato friends.
The program aims to offset the EU’s failure to deliver one million shell to Ukraine in part by this failure.
Zelenskyy and the listeners of both chambers of the Bohemian legislature met with Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala and on Monday in Prague.
