President Donald Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney are meeting at the White House.
The conference is the first since Carney became prime minister. Relations between the United States and Canada have been at a traditional low according to Trump’s teasing of the land and imposition of tariffs.
Trump has struck a good string with Carney despite his speech, slamming Traditional opposition leader Pierre Poilievre after his election loss.
” It was the one that hated Trump, I think, the least that won”, Trump said. He added that Poilievre “hated me much more than the so-called democratic” Carney.
