The US government reported that a multi-million-dollar US warplane failed to get on the Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier on Tuesday, dropping its next flight into the Red Sea. The two-seater F/A-18F Super Hornet fighter aircraft, which is worth about$ 67 million, went ashore after a failed attempt to slow it down as it landed, according to US Central Command. According to a defence official, the aircraft’s hook failed to catch the arresting wire on the carrier. The standard continued,” Both sunglasses safely ejected and were rescued by the search and rescue plane,” adding that” the arrestment failed, leading to the aircraft going overboard. The pilots were evaluated by medical professionals and found to have slight wounds. No members of the flight board suffered any injuries.” This is the next F/A-18 to get lost off the Truman in only over a year. One more aircraft fell off the same provider on April 28 in a collision that left one sailor hurt, as well as dragged a vehicle that was towing the warrior plane into the water. A F/A-18 that was flying off the Truman was lost late last year because the USS Gettysburg guided weapon ship accidentally shot it down. That event was survived by both planes. One of the two US aircraft carriers operating in the Middle East is the Truman, which US troops have been attacking Yemen’s Huthi rebels with attacks since mid-March in an effort to put an end to the threat they pose to ships in the area. Oman, a mediator, reported on Tuesday that the United States and the Huthis had reached a stalemate.
