The Red Cross slammed Israel’s “unacceptable” entire blockade on aid entering the besieged and conflict-ravaged Palestinian territory, condemning the animal cost of the war raging in Gaza. Support organizations have repeatedly warned about the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza, which they claim has been caused by Israel’s ongoing blockade of aid since early March. The Director General of the International Committee of the Red Cross ( ICRC ), Pierre Krahenbuhl, told reporters in Geneva,” It is unacceptable that humanitarian aid is not allowed into the Gaza Strip.” That’s really fundamentally opposed to anything that humanitarian international law entails.

He continued,” The next few days are definitely decisive” because the situation in Gaza is “razor’s advantage.” There will come a point when we run out of other types of medical products, he said. Israel denies that a humanitarian crisis is raging in the Gaza Strip, where it intends to launch military strikes to elude victims held there since the group’s extraordinary 2023 attack by Israel. Israel is also reportedly trying to shut down Gaza’s current UN-led help supply system, forcing all shipments to go through Jewish hubs.
