Authorities on Monday confirmed that the Department of Homeland Security was assisting a police investigation into a$ 2.5 million yacht theft in Florida.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office announced in a Twitter statement on Monday that it had “identified the person who stole a 66-foot pleasure yacht from a Tequesta bay as Nikolai Vilka, a Russian national.”

The Department of Homeland Security was “en way” to the sheriff’s department with a Russian interpreter to assist with the research, according to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, because the Russian national claimed he was unable to speak English and was being “en way.”

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office reported that earlier this evening, Vilka attempted to flee from delegates through the Intracoastal Waterway and stole the yacht from Blowing Rocks Marina. The dockmaster reported the stolen vehicle, which prompted a timely and organized answer. The pursuit was supported by MCSO Air One, sea devices, and ground units.

According to Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek, police were alerted on Monday night about a 68-foot yacht’s theft around 4 p.m.

According to Budensiek,” This is a second for me and a first for the Sheriff’s Office that I’m aware of where we had a circumstance like this,” Budensiek told WPBF 25 News. We began contacting and figuring out whether this was a repossession deal or if someone was permitted to use this vessel because it is such an amazing story.

Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched in several boats to pursue the stolen catamaran after confirming that it was possible stolen. Due to the sheriff’s deputies ‘ many smaller vessels, Densiek claimed on WPBF 25 News that the hunt was challenging.

They are lower, they say. They are examining the situation. They are unable to discern what they are seeing, according to Budensiek. And our delegates might have been in trouble if he had had the power.

According to WPBF 25 News, Budensiek claimed the Russian national did not possess a tool and that no shots were fired during the fight. According to Budensiek, the delegates finally managed to catch up with the lost ship.

They simply shoved him as he was attempting to advance velocity, and they were bowing to the side of that vehicle. They simply shoved him into the marshes,” Budensiek said. They placed him on a ground so severe that he could no longer advance.

The judge continued,” We’re looking into the possibility that it’s a part of a larger business.” A Russian allegedly entered South Martin County and robbed a 68-foot,$ 2,500, 000 catamaran, but it’s not what you see, they say.
