Blake Lively is preparing to speak in the prosecution against her “It Stops With Us” producer and co-star Justin Baldoni, whom she accused of sexually harassing her on the collection and conducting a subsequent slander campaign.
A lawyer for the 37-year-old “Gossip Girl” student confirmed in a speech to Citizens that she did “of training ” take the stand against the “Jane the Virgin” student, 41.
Beautiful and Baldoni have been locked in a strained legal and News fight ever since December, when Beautiful second leveled her allegations in a problem, followed by a formal lawsuit.
Baldoni subsequently filed a $ 250 million tort complaint against The New York Times for a deep-dive into Lively’s says, titled “We Is Bury Everyone. ”
He followed that with a $ 400 million libel lawsuit against Friendly, her husband Ryan Reynolds and publicist Leslie Sloane, even accusing them of civil blackmail.
“The ultimate moment for a plaintiff’s story to be told is at trial, ” said Lively’s attorney, Mike Gottlieb. “We expect that to be the situation around. So we would, of course, believe her to be a witness at her demo. Of program she’s going to testify. ”
Her legal crew even anticipates stories from “individuals that were witnesses to or experienced wrongdoing that is related to Ms. Lively’s says … specifically about what took place on fixed, ” per Gottlieb.
Among those possible testimony is Reynolds, 48, who “may or may not ” speak depending on whether Baldoni’s lawsuit claims against him find dismissed.
While Gottlieb categorized the enduring hit war as among the “distractions put up to divert attention ” from Lively’s says, Baldoni’s lawyer Bryan Freedman maintains “the wisdom is never a distraction. ”
“The reality has been plainly shown through uncensored receipts, papers and real life film, ” Freeman said in a speech to People.
The event is scheduled to go to test in New York following March.
