Putin Calls For Peace Talks, But Kyiv Rocked By Russian Drone Attack Hours After Offer

Over 100 drones were launched into Ukraine by Russian forces in the preceding night of May 10 and 11, in a major escalation of hostilities, according to Kyiv. This occurred shortly after the 72-hour self-imposed Soviet peace was declared. Kyiv hasn’t reported any aircraft or another attack since Thursday since the peace was in effect. However, it did chastise Russian forces of numerous violations, and the Kremlin also made allegations that Ukraine had broken the peace. The Ukrainian air force reported that the army attacked on May 11 with 108 Shahed strike drones and several imitator drone types starting at 2:15. The aerial problems are the most significant by Russian forces since the war began more than three years ago.

    Sindoor Activity

The problems occurred shortly after several European leaders, including British Prime Minister Kier Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron, visited Ukraine. In light of recent Russian hostility, which also suggested a 30-day peace supported by the US, the visit was intended to show solidarity with Kyiv. Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, has otherwise offered direct conversations with Kyiv in the coming days of the European proposal. Putin suggested speaks with Kyiv in Istanbul on May 15 during a speech at the Kremlin early on Sunday.

    Poll

Do you think the new Russian aircraft attacks represent a new uprising in the conflict?

In the Kremlin target, Putin said,” We do not remove that we will be able to agree on some new ceasefire.” Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the president of Ukraine, said the talks should have the goal of reaching a “lasting and complete settlement” and that they should be conducted “without conditions.” He praised Russia’s willingness to negotiate, but he also emphasized the value of maintaining harmony. French President Emmanuel Macron said Putin’s proposal was” not enough” and accused him of wanting to “buy time” on his way back from Ukraine, where he participated in a European announcement on the 30-day ceasefire proposal.
