The Columbia University Protest Creates a Dangerous New Precedent for Hatred

Students have taken it upon themselves to abandon knowledge in favor of violently yelling their opinions about a situation they hardly even know about for the previous year or so.

Don’t get me wrong, don’t get me wrong. We all have voices and the right to them. No matter how far you don’t connect to some of them, you still have one because social media is overflowing these days with ideas.

However, these kids are going above and beyond to participate in dangerous anti-Israel demonstrations nationwide, also to the point where they are blocking roads or arresting people.

I persuaded myself for a while that they would be suffocating as a result of President Donald Trump’s sanctions against colleges for supporting such demonstrations. But it turns out that isn’t the event.

Over a hundred people marched at the Butler Library at Columbia University earlier this month. They wore masks and glasses as they walked into the libraries and slammed Israel and those who support it with pro-Palestinian slogans.

The New York Police Department was called in response, and nearly all of the protest were detained for unlawfully occupying the room.

This creates a risky law in the United States, where people vent their opinions sporadically and occasionally fiercely just to make sure they’re in the right.

I am aware of your thoughts today. ” Yes, but what about January 6?”

Let’s get a closer look at both instances, shall we?

On January 6, protest began to protest the inequity of the political method, which had initially led to Donald Trump’s ouster. Although the truth is that these people had a right to be angry, the internet will likely portray them as terrorists. You have seen the damage that the Biden administration has caused to our nation since next. A reason was given for it. And what they did was not even a rally. It was a time to take a listen, right?

Let’s take a look at the Columbia affair today.

Second, what they’re trying to say. They are promoting pro-Palestinian.

In order to keep this in mind, Hamas attacked honest Jewish citizens when they invaded that particular region, including causing harm to children and women. The current issue between Israel and Hamas was further escalated by this.

These protest appear to forget that certain aspect of the battle. Only the one where they can love Jews and use violence against others.

They are supporting violence, which makes this point actually more dangerous.

Give it some thought. You have people who are on visas in this country and are willing to give that up in exchange for, say, merely bashing someone who is even a little bit in favor of Israel. You’re joking, are you?

Hamas advocates total bloodshed in their country, but young Americans still think Palestinians are for standing for, while honest Jewish people are practically every day harmed by hate crimes.

Then there is the final element. These students were attempting to study for finals when they entered the Butler Library, forcing them to leave and study abroad. I understand how crucial an education is, when do they, but they don’t give a damn about it. They simply need to obstruct their information. violently.

But yes, there’s a major issue here.

I am aware that Trump and his management are undoubtedly criticizing this circumstance. It’s difficult to predict what his alternative may be. However, I believe hiring more security ( including active and retired officers to fill the ranks ) would be a step in the right direction.

I believe communication is crucial because it enables us to explain to these individuals what the true danger is. They think they are supporting a noble reason, but they don’t see the body Hamas left behind. Or the oppressed Jews who are suffering as a result of radical ‘ claims that this is the right course of action.

I do wish something is done to address this. Because of the risk, the more unsafe, out-of-control demonstrations like this one we have, the more likely it will result in injury for American students and also police officers.

Perhaps it would be best to ignore these individuals online. where they didn’t hurt anyone.
