Donald Trump rebuffed Democrats ‘ concerns over the expensive Qatari jet that they may receive this year, while also revealing that the aircraft would become “free of demand.”
Reports early on Sunday revealed that when Trump visited Qatar on his way to the Middle East, he was supposed to take the excellent luxury Boeing 747-8 jumbo jet, which was formerly used by the Qatari imperial government, from Qatar. A early report from Qatar that claimed this plane would be a “gift” was inaccurate, but it did point out that a “possible exchange of an airplane for temporary use as Air Force One is currently being considered” was “inaccurate.”
Trump criticized Democrats for insisting he paid for the plane’s probable move as a “gift” on Sunday nights.
The Broken Democrats are so upset that they insist we pay TOP DOLLAR for the plane because the Defense Department is receiving a GIFT, FREE OF CHARGE, of a 747 plane to remove the 40 year old Air Force One, temporarily, in a very open and transparent deal. Anyone may accomplish that! The Democrats are” World Class Losers!!”! Trump posted a message on Truth Social.
Liberals, including Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT), criticized the move as “wildly illegal” after the first record.
Murphy , posted on X, wrote,” This isn’t a good idea even if the aircraft was being donated to the U.S. state. Trump “gets to maintain the planet,” though. Simply put, it’s a money transaction made in favor of Trump. Simply utterly illegal.”
Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-NY ) wrote to various U.S. officials asking for an “immediate” ethics review, and Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA ) also called on the House Oversight Committee to “aggressively investigate” the possible transfer.

Despite the pushback, the Justice Department has already determined that accepting the aircraft would not offend the Constitution’s prohibition against any U.S. government official from accepting donations from “any King, Prince, or unusual State.” Trump took a tour of the pleasure flight earlier this year as he criticized Boeing for taking so long to complete the Air Force One replacements promised.
The leader will travel for his first time in his second term on an international level. He may travel to different Middle Eastern nations, including Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, until May 16 when he arrives in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday.
