One thing I’ve wondered a bit about in all of my years of writing about British social media is why the loves of The New York Times and NBC News don’t just say that they’re biased. They don’t care to conceal it any longer, so why do they keep on doing the democratic journalist nonsense?  ,
Sure, part of it is that the dragon media forms don’t realize that we’re in the 21st century and that the world is moving on. They also act as though they are in a 1940s film and have porkpie clothes with” Press” cards on their hatbands. The antiquated passion is more about reliving the power they once had than anything else.
The major media tricks have been dreadful for years, but have gotten rapidly worse now that they’re all serious victims of Trump Derangement Syndrome. They repeatedly violate their First Amendment right, ensneering around the Constitution while trying their hardest to break the foundation of the Republic.  ,
There was a technique I noticed happening a lot in the first weeks of the first Trump presidency, which I would usually point out in rows next. Although I haven’t written about it much recently, Stephen Green, my excellent friend and partner in thought crime, caught The Washington Post in action and posted about it yesterday.
One enraged mother wrote to the others,” No trying to create hysteria,” according to a Sunday newspaper article in the Washington Post. ” They are in Forest Hills right now in full tactical gear and children are being left behind”.
Neighborhoods lined the wall as concerns increased, the tale continued. An elected national flew to the park in Forest Hills. Immigration lawyers handed out know-your-rights accounts in English, Spanish and Haitian Creole to any moms they had get”.
The paper finally admits that no such item happened after four good passages of teeth gnashing and hand-wringing. Neither ICE agents were present, either inside or out of active military gear. No caregivers were targeted. No one was unaccompanied.

Incendiary, misleading headlines across all media platforms that are later refuted in the article are the solution for our brave journalist course. This frequently occurs. The big reveal always comes in the fourth or fifth paragraph. That gives them time to exude deception.
These are not just instances of burying the lede for good. They know that no one reads the whole article anymore, so they’re using headlines to create and perpetuate false narratives, and then sneaking in a kernel of truth to provide themselves a little cover. It’s similar to a trial lawyer making aninflammatory remarks while knowing the judge will dismiss them. The harm cannot be repaired.
I mentioned that no one reads the whole article anymore, but it’s worse than that when it comes to the false narrative machines. When a link to an article on X is provided by WaPo or The New York Times, they can editorialize in the tweet, post, or whatever, knowing that the majority of readers will never even click to read the article.  ,
It’s easier than it’s ever been for the professional liars in the American legacy media to be horrible. Fortunately, when we call them horrible, people like me and my colleagues can be much louder.  ,
