Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the president of Ukraine, announced on Tuesday that he would be awaiting Russian President Vladimir Putin’s arrival for face-to-face meetings in the Greek money this year. Trump has urged the two factors to meet at the talks as part of Washington’s plan to put an end to the battle, but Puntin has not yet confirmed whether he will. Zellenskyy will do the negotiations in Ankara on Thursday, according to Zellenskyy’s press release in Kyiv. He stated that he will attend a meeting with Recep Tayip Erdogan, the president of Turkey, before awaiting Putin’s arrival. If Putin chooses Istanbul to host the conference, Zelenenskyy predicted that both leaders did go it. In its smallest helicopter assault this year, Russia launched 10 Shahed and fake drones at Ukraine as the warring nations prepare for potential peace deals in Turkey, the Russian air force reported on Tuesday. Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s request to join Russian President Vladimir Putin in person at the tables of negotiations in Istanbul on Thursday hasn’t received a direct response from the Kremlin. Dmitry Peskov, a spokesman for the Kremlin, declined to comment on Tuesday for the next day directly whether Putin would visit Istanbul or whether other Russian figures would attend the prospective talks. We did make an announcement as soon as the leader determines it is necessary, according to Peskov. Russia has stated that it will take a group to Istanbul without any conditions. Since President Donald Trump took office in January with a pledge to end the war, the US has been exerting a lot of stress on both sides to agree. According to military analysts, both sides are preparing for a spring-summer campaign on the front lines, where a tens of thousands of soldiers have been killed on both sides during a roughly 1, 000-kilometer ( 620-mile ) battle. Washington’s Institute for the Study of War reported on Monday that Russia is “quickly replenishing front-line models with new volunteers to sustain the battle action.” Mykhailo Podolyak, an assistant to Zelenskyy, stated on Tuesday on a YouTube channel move by well-known Russian journalists in captivity that Selenskyy won’t be meeting with any Russian authorities in Istanbul another than Putin. According to Podolyak, lower-level discussions may just mean “dragging out” any peace process. Recent accusations from Western leaders show that Putin has stifled his efforts to maintain peace as he presses his bigger army to launch the battle initiative and seize more Ukrainian land. More than 100 drones were fired at Ukraine on Monday, properly rejecting an absolute 30-day ceasefire that Ukraine and Eastern European leaders demanded. Puntin rather suggested strong peace talks. However, there has been discussion over whether a ceasefire should be established prior to the deals. The mind of Ukraine’s political office, Andrii Yermak, stated on Tuesday that “Ukraine is available for any type of negotiations with Russia, but a peace had come first.” Conversations are difficult if, according to Yermak,” the Ukrainian people are under attack by Soviet missiles and uavs all over the clock” during a video address to the Copenhagen Democracy Summit in 2025. Putin has constantly questioned Zelenskyy’s validity, particularly given that his term ended last year. It is prohibited for the state to maintain national elections under Ukrainian law as it currently is. A 2022 Ukrainian order obstructs negotiations with Putin, which is a further difficulty. According to director Tammy Bruce, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke with senior officials from the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Poland on Monday to discuss” the way forward for a peace and path to peace in Ukraine.” These Western nations had pledged additional sanctions against Russia if it refused to follow the full peace that Ukraine had accepted from Monday, but they made no mention of any further restrictions.
