'They made a sub-human out of me': Indian-origin Badar Khan Suri recounts jail horror, says he doesn't regret supporting Palestine
Badar Khan Suri, an Indian-origin, stated that he does not dread supporting Palestine or getting married to a Arab.

Badar Khan Suri, a postdoctoral researcher and professor from India and who was released from ICE prison after more than a month, described the experience as” Kafka-esqe.” He claimed after his discharge that he was chained to his entire body, including his wrists, legs, and hands. And for the first seven, eight weeks, he also subsisted. ” There was nothing, there was no command.” He claimed that they made me into a subhuman.

What led to Badar Khan Suri’s arrest?

Badar Khan Suri was detained for his father-in-law Ahmed Yousef, who aided Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh in his role as an advisor. Although Suri’s community is based in India, his family Mapheze Saleh is a Palestinian-American, and he traveled to Gaza for his bride. Khan Suri was accused of “actively spreading Hamas advertising and promoting hatred on social media.” Judge Patricia Giles of the Eastern District of Virginia ruled in her opinion that Khan Suri’s arrest violated the First Amendment, the Fifth Amendment, and the Right to Due Process. In her decision, Giles claimed that the government was not demonstrate that Khan Suri was a threat to national security or trip.

My eldest child is just nine, I believe.

Khan Suri, who is only concerned about his children, including his nine-year-old brother and his sisters, who are both five years old, told NBC News. My nine-year-old is aware of my location. He was experiencing a lot of hardship. My woman once told me that he was crying. He requires psychological health assistance. ” There is crazy outside, but it shouldn’t be in America,” he said. This is a beacon of hope, Khan Suri claimed after his discharge.

” Don’t dread supporting Palestine,” the statement read.

Khan Suri’s family claims that he told her that supporting Palestine was his only lament when he wed a Palestinian. His wife responded,” If my anguish in the confinement center is because I married to a Arab and because I spoke out against the murder in Gaza, therefore I may use it as a badge of honor,” Khan Suri said.
