In the first few months of 2025, numerous American tech companies have conducted massive layoffs, according to Tech Crunch. More than 2,400 tech jobs were cut in January, more than 16, 000 tech jobs were cut in February, about 9, 000 tech jobs were cut in March, and more than 23, 000 tech jobs were cut in April, according to the store.

The 2024 Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy said,” The reason top tech companies frequently hire foreign-born & first-generation engineers isn’t because of an innate American IQ deficit ( a lazy &amp, wrong explanation )” in a debate over the H1-B visa program in December prior to Trump’s inauguration. A significant portion of it is attributed to the c-word: society. If we’re really severe about fixing the problem, we must confront the truth, because difficult issues demand tough solutions.
