An American tourist was found guilty of abusing a 12-year-old lady at a swimming complex and posting incorrect messages to her on Instagram. According to Channel News Asia, the jailed tourist, identified as Pramender ( 25 ), admitted guilt on Friday on two counts of attempting to persuade a child to commit an indecent act and one count of molesting a child under the age of 14. The 12-year-old was with her home at the Jalan Besar swimming advanced on March 31 when Ramender was charged with following her to the bathroom. Pragender followed his own Instagram accounts while utilizing the victim’s phone to access her profile. After that, he sent her 13 inappropriate text information, which led her to contact the on-duty swimmer. In the end, the defendant’s family reported the killer to the officers, which led to Pramender’s imprisonment on April 2. Deputy Public Prosecutor Ashley Chin pointed out there was” some amount of exploitation” at a court hearing on Friday. The judge also considered the victim’s age and risk. The punishment under Singaporean law for attempting to compel a child under the age of 16 can be a sentence of up to seven years in jail and a fine of up to$ 10,000 or both. For molesting a baby under the age of 14, a victim could even encounter a sentence of up to five years in prison, punishment, or any combination of the three.
