Is MAGA In the Room With Us Right Now? Fashion Edition

I wrote a guest post about how people are turning the most mundane things into MAGA characters earlier this month for our Guests. By “people,” I mean crazy liberals who have Trump Derangement Syndrome ( TDS ). It turns out to be worse than I anticipated, to be sure. These folks are genuinely aware of “MAGA” everywhere they go. Perhaps I should start a collection on this? &nbsp,

Yeah, I occasionally receive messages from the New York Times to my inbox. The only thing I’ve learned so far is that I can read stories about how out-of-touch the Times is, like when they wrote an article about how deporting illegal immigrants would be terrible because the Hamptons ‘ residents wouldn’t have anyone to bulldoze their gardens or replace their soap dispensers. &nbsp,

Although that was absurd, what they sent me last evening might just be the best. A reader inquired,” Can I use a sheath dress without looking like a Do lady”; the subject range continued. &nbsp,

First of all, I find it hard to believe a “reader” took their precious time to read in and request this. What the heck is a “MAGA person” in the first place? It sounds similar to what you’d find on an evolution table for” March of Progress.” If I may talk for those of us who support the president, I believe we are a little more developed than these individuals with TDS, so “MAGA Woman” might be the next step after “man.” &nbsp, &nbsp,

A holster dress is, according to Stitch Fix, a costume that is “form fitting for a simplified image hitting at or above the knee” before anyone else asks. It has a classic, traditional appearance. I’m more of a jump or moon clothing type of gal, so maybe I’m not a “MAGA girl” in the end. &nbsp,

Anyway, I found the article interesting because it appears in the Times ‘” Request Vanessa” fashion column. The question, which is posed by” Miriam” of Whidbey Island, Washington, is a little bit like this: &nbsp,

My design can be characterized as modern sleek meets typical. Although I have a few sheath gowns that fit and charm, they presently resemble what I see as MAGA type. What may I do to update them without losing their beauty? &nbsp,

I support the notion that no one really asked this question. If no some character she’s created in her mind,” Miriam” may be Friedman’s aunt. Talk about primary world problems,” Oh no!!” if” Miriam” is really real. I don’t wear a shirt that says” I voted for Donald Trump.” What did I do, exactly? &nbsp, &nbsp,

Sheesh. &nbsp, is where Friedman begins her reply.

Women who adhere to the Trump viewpoint have a very particular appearance, similar to that of Miss Universe and a Fox newsreader. It typically entails flowing curls that are at least make size, fake eyelashes, plumped-up cheeks and lips, large feet, and, as you say, a scabbard dress. The side-part of this woman, who is square-jawed, besuited, and has a side part, is portrayed in the effect, which highlights an almost comical femininity that connotes a largely outdated gender stereotype.

She then gives names to members of the Trump household and the management who does clothing like this, to reassure” Miriam” that she can also wear her sheath dresses without appearing to have voted with the GOP in the previous election. According to Friedman,” The look of Trump globe is increasingly about the beauty decisions, rather than the clothes,” adding that” they are not everything but a Trump lady, even before they get to plan.” The look is known as the” Mar-a-Lago face,” which is named for the Trump golf course where so many people have been seen sporting it. which also includes” traditional female makeup.” &nbsp,

That is only scratching the surface. The whole column contains a ton of generalizations and is insanely demeaning and not even factual. It’s a mingled carrier, so I decided to check out the comments area to see if anyone was actually buying into this garbage. &nbsp,

Some people are pointing out that the row is a waste of time as well as very misogynistic, even some who don’t appear to be big Trump fans. ( Agree! ) Whether you voted for Trump or Kamala Harris, some people also point out that the search is basically popular. If you turn on the local news place, you’ll probably notice an anchor in this outfit. If you walk into a large town company, you’ll get the same. I have friends who appear this every day, whether they’re going to operate or go out for a night out on the town, and they didn’t actually vote for Trump. &nbsp,

Other readers continue to talk about how they no longer wearing dark when they’re out because they worry that someone will mistake them for a Republican. ( No, I’m dead serious. ) &nbsp, &nbsp,

One user wrote in and said something about it being an “unthreatening” glance, and Friedman responded, “agree that’unthreatening’ is part of the information below. One of the reasons why this appearance is so common in the current administration is that it allows people to basically serve in positions of authority in a manner that appears to be fairly benign and makes them appear to be team players, literally. &nbsp,

How’s what I believe is actually happening, which Scott described in his essay SHAMEFUL: Media Attacks Republican Women as Ugly— and Why It’s About to Get Many Worse: The Times, along with other advertising outlets, are throwing this story of the “MAGA person” &nbsp, at the wall to see what pieces. Let’s find other ways to chisel away at Trump’s weapons ( we can’t hit him on policy ). There may even be some resentment caused by media outlets ‘ forced use of Friedman’s “gender prejudices” by women who have been made to follow their own gender stereotypes. &nbsp,

This notion of dirty feminist has been a trend for years on the left. Women should strive to be just like men and give up everything that makes us unique and beautiful, despite the fact that you can do that, but you must use a pants fit, remove the makeup, get longer hair, and look like Hillary Clinton rather than Melania. ( Ew, no thanks. ) Any person can now become a person, according to them. &nbsp,

However, the fact is that there is enough of that for women — sensible women in any case. We still have the freedom to wear what we want, despite our strong tasks. We can still go out and kick some mouth while wearing the gorgeous, romantic dresses, makeup, and much hair. We can also serve in management positions or put in a lot of hard work if we want to, and I promise most of us dress up more for ourselves than to please others. Not every person does, which is also completely cool. However, it is not evil to want to seem good. &nbsp,

But perhaps that’s what a “MAGA person” is: a person who may take care of herself, rule the world, and look good while doing it. If that’s the case, please sign me up. &nbsp,

When the false news may descend this far, it’s kind of sad. They are incapable of writing a style column without mocking the gorgeous women who supported him, worked for him, and are members of his family. &nbsp,
