Motown song Smokey Robinson has been the subject of a criminal investigation launched by the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department after four of his former employees charged him with sexual assault and pay robbery.

Three former maids and a former private associate, who allege that the song, whose legal name is William Robinson, forced them to have intercourse with him and even failed to pay minimum income or extra pay, filed a lawsuit against Robinson, 85, earlier this month.

The band’s partner, Frances Robinson, is also accused of constantly screaming at the workers, using racist language, and failing to take any steps to stop her husband’s physical abuse despite supposedly being aware of his actions in the lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court.

Christopher Frost, the woman’s attorney, has refuted the allegations. On Thursday, the prosecutor’s agency’s investigation was no immediately disclosed.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Special Victims Bureau is currently looking into legal complaints involving William Robinson, aka” Smokey Robinson,” according to department spokeswoman Nicole Nishida. We have no further remark because the research is in its early stages.

Because the people filed a police statement after filing the petition, Frost claimed that the sheriff’s office is required to conduct an investigation into the allegations.

Frost called the police statement” a desperate effort to prejudice public opinion and generate even more of a press carnival than the Plaintiffs were able to make” and said his clients are pleased with the investigation.

According to Frost,” the report will eventually show that this is nothing more than a created lawsuit intended to denigrate the great names of Smokey and Frances Robinson, for no other reason than pure avarice.”

The women’s lawsuit claims that Robinson and his powerful friends had earlier resisted telling the authorities about his alleged abuse because they were afraid of losing their jobs, their jobs, people humiliation, and intimidation.

The four women’s legal representatives, who identified themselves as Jane Does, were pleased to learn that the Sheriff’s Department had opened an investigation into their clients ‘ claims of sexual abuse.

Attorneys John Harris and Herbert Hayden said in a statement that “our clients intend to fully cooperate with LASD’s ongoing investigation in the pursuit of seeking justice for themselves and others who may have been similarly assaulted by him ( Robinson ).

In addition to a number of labor violations involving wages, breaks, food breaks, and overtime pay, the Robinsons are accused of neglect, sexual battery and sexual assault, false imprisonment, willful and irresponsible inflicting emotional distress, gender violence, and hostile work environment, according to the complaint.

The women claim that the singer’s” Tracks of My Tears” performed at his homes in Chatsworth, Bell Canyon, and Las Vegas repeatedly, with the intent of having sex with him over the years.

From January 2023 to February 2024, Jane Doe 1 worked for the Robinsons. Jane Doe 2 worked from May 2014 to February 2020. From February 2012 to April 2024, Jane Doe 3 worked. From October 2006 to April 2024, Jane Doe 4 worked.
