Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Monday that pressure from friends led to his choice to continue support to Gaza after a weeks-long siege. Netanyahu claimed in a movie speech that Israel’s friends had expressed concern about “images of starvation” and that, without mentioning certain countries, there is “one thing we don’t have.” Photos of widespread hunger are unacceptable. That is unacceptable. We won’t be able to stand by you.” ” We must somehow solve the problem in order to win,” Netanyahu said. He said the aid would be “minimal,” without specifying when it would begin. After a total block on imports since earlier March, Israel on Sunday announced it would begin aid shipments into the war-torn place. Israel has argued that the Gaza-based violent Hamas party was being pressured by the blockade on goods, including gas, food, and medicine. The aid stopped for a week deepened the already severe humanitarian crises and gave food experts warnings of famine. Israel launched a new offensive as it prepared to capture Gaza, replace hundreds of thousands of Palestinians there, and arrange for aid distribution inside the country. Israel claims that all of these methods will encourage Hamas to accept a peace agreement with Israel. And while the parties are still negotiating a probable peace, it is still unclear how far the parties have managed to resolve the conflict. Additionally, on Monday, the Israeli government issued an evacuation order for inhabitants of Khan Younis, Gaza’s second-largest capital, and nearby cities. Avichay Adraee, a military official, posted the directive on his social media accounts, saying the entire place” may be considered a hazardous fight zone.”
