Ed Dept. drops $37M fine against Christian university after ‘no findings’ of fault

Trump administration rejects allegations that the plan charges were “misrepresented” in a Biden-era investigation.

Under previous President Joe Biden’s leadership, the U.S. Department of Education proposed a$ 37.7 million fine against Grand Canyon University in Arizona, the university said Friday.

The Department dismissed the situation without any findings, fines, obligations, or penalties of any kind, according to a media release from the personal Christian college.

Additionally, the department rescinded the good without prejudice, which means the lawsuit cannot be brought back.

According to the release, the office confirmed it found no evidence that GCU had broken Title IV specifications, including the Biden-era argument that the university had” significantly misrepresented” the cost of its postgraduate courses.

Additionally, it asserts that the school’s disclosures of its doctoral programs go beyond the norms of other colleges ‘ clarity and legal requirements. In response, the university has “insisted that it would contest any fine amount, even$ 1, let alone$ 37.7 million.”

Additionally, according to the release, numerous organizations and authorities, including the IRS, State of Arizona, Higher Learning Commission, Arizona Private Postsecondary Board of Education, Arizona State Approving Agency, and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, have either instantly refuted, ruled against, or reduced government overreach in relation to false allegations about GCU.

The information corroborate our claim that we were defrauded of misleading our graduate students, and we appreciate that those charges were unsupported, according to GCU President Brian Mueller.

He declared, “GCU is a leader in innovation, accountability, and best methods in higher education, and we look forward to working together with the Department in the future, just as we have done with all regulation companies.”

According to Department official Ellen Keast, President Donald Trump’s ED” may certainly punish and prosecute colleges and universities based on their religious involvement,” according to a spokesman for the organization.

” The Trump Administration will continue to hold each higher education institution responsible based on the facts,” she said, but department enforcement may be done to benefit students rather than political bias.

The office made the first announcement about the good in 2023, alleging that the university lied to students and alumni about how much the Ph.D. was going to charge. The College Fix recently reported on D. programs for a number of years. The company has previously levied the largest fine against a university.

The Biden administration’s response to the request for public data from the Goldwater Institute relates to the justification for the good under the Freedom of Information Act. When the presidency obacted, the traditional open policy think tank filed a complaint.

A state examiner’s office evaluation last year found no evidence of any wrongdoing on the part of GCU. The Fix recently reported that the office and the Federal Trade Commission, both under President Biden, continued to campaign against the university.

GCU just celebrated its largest college group ever, with over 31, 000 students in its 75-year history, despite the ongoing legal battle, according to The Christian Post.

According to President Mueller, “our focus is still on working directly with employers to help them solve workplace shortages, particularly in crucial fields like education, medical, technology, engineering, social function, counseling, and the defense.”

Further: The Supreme Court appears to be ready to rule whether parents can forbid their children from attending Gay education.

GCU phrase is featured in a university film, Grand Canyon University/YouTube.
