'Now do the H-1B visas': Trump ally says after US announces restrictions on Indian travel agents
After the US imposed visa restrictions for American go agents with alleged links to smuggling, a MAGA activist asks the administration to boycott H-1B.

After the US announced bans on travel agents from India on Monday, Donald Trump’s alliance Laura Loomer, who opposes American jobs being given to immigrants, said the administration may hinder H-1B permits. The US government’s decision to accept 120 and 141 H-1B card programs for the fiscal year 2026 has once more become a hot topic. H-1B, the program that allows US businesses to hire highly skilled workers from other countries, has once more become a hot topic. The number 120 and 141, which are the lowest since 2021, shows a notable decrease in H-1B registrations this time due to an increase in the fee. However, MAGA protesters and US software employees are pushing for the programs to be reduced or eliminated. They claim that Donald Trump’s assault on immigration and his pledge to put America First are at odds with the progression of plans that hire immigrants. If travel companies have any connection to illegal immigration, the US government has imposed visa restrictions on these entities, their owners, managers, and senior leaders. According to a notification from the US Department of State, its political and diplomatic staff in India are working to determine and hold accountable those who are responsible for promoting unauthorised immigration to the US. Due to concerns about fraud, the US Embassy in India canceled 2, 000 card meetings in April of this year. The agency’s most recent investigation focuses on travel agencies who are abusing the system. Numerous MAGA activists who pleaded for a similar clampdown on H-1B card programs praised the decision. The H-1B system has a 65, 000 new visa cover each year. However, applicants who have a U.S. master’s degree or higher are exempt from this cap of 20, 000 requests. Concerned that companies have now identified persons who will be fired from the US workforce as new work are not being created because the office has previously chosen 120 or 141 H-1Bs for the upcoming fiscal year has sparked problem.
