A large portion of voters are willing to help increased federal spending to strengthen America’s north limit, according to a new poll released on Tuesday and second obtained by the Washington Examiner.

According to Building America’s Prospect, a political nonprofit organization funded by Elon Musk and supporting Republican candidates, 77 percent of U.S. voters polled between May 12 and May 13 said they were concerned about the movement of dangerous criminals, illegal drugs, and other harmful medicines, into the country via the American border.

Just 30 % of voters said they were unconcerned about cross-border violence coming from their north neighbors.

Respondents want the Trump administration’s northern frontier to be treated with the same intensity as its northern border, which the president prioritized when he took office in January.

Even though it costs more money to the U.S. taxpayers, about 62 % of voters back increased investments to improve homeland security and monitor the northern border, compared to 38 % who opposed the idea.

The problems come in the wake of Mark Carney’s vote as prime minister, a severe blow to the region’s Conservative Party. 64 % of respondents believed that the United States could no longer rely on Canada and that it should work on its own to improve safety at the shared border.

Almost 4 in 5 voters, or 79 %, believe that the northern boundary may be a significant threat to international human trafficking, money laundering, and illegal immigration if more efforts are not made to protect it.

A prospect who prioritizes national spending on northern border surveillance would win the support of three-quarters of the polled voters, according to the survey.

President Donald Trump identified Canada as a major player in the U.S. fentanyl epidemic, which has killed an unprecedented number of people yearly, and imposed tariffs until methadone seizures have completely disappeared in his first 100 days in business.

7,400 pounds of fentanyl were seized at the U.S. Mexico border in the first seven weeks of the fiscal year 2025, the majority of which were at ports of entry, according to figures from U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Only 26 kg of morphine were discovered in the same time body across the northern border.

PRIMARY CANADIAN BORDER ENTERTAINED FROM MEXICO ARE THE MOST Unlawful IMMIGRANTS.

Border and medicine experts disagreed over how correct the behavior was given the unsolved need part of the illness because of Canada’s inclusion in the executive order.

The survey had a plus-or-minus 3 percentage point margin of error and was conducted among 1, 010 good general voters across the nation.
