US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated to the House Foreign Affairs Committee on Wednesday that the US was considering whether to name the Taliban as a “foreign extremist organization.” Rep. Tim Burchett ( Republican ) questioned whether the US would consider the Taliban to be a “foreign terrorist organization.” Rubio responded,” I believe that classification is now, once more, under review.
