A performer from the Irish-language rap collective Kneecap faces terrorism-related charges, according to authorities.The UK Metropolitan Police have charged Liam O’Hanna, also known as Liam Og O Hannaidh, for displaying a flag supporting Hezbollah, which is classified as a proscribed organisation.The Belfast native, aged 27, who performs as Mo Chara, is scheduled for a court appearance at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on June 18, Sky News reported.The charges stem from an assessment by counter-terrorism authorities of footage reportedly from a Kneecap performance.The alleged incident involves a flag displayed by O’Hanna at London’s O2 Forum in Kentish Town on November 21 last year.The Metropolitan Police’s Counter Terrorism Command initiated an investigation after becoming aware of online footage on April 22.Following the investigation, the Crown Prosecution Service approved the charges.The group Kneecap is set to perform as headliners at the Wide Awake Festival in south London on Friday.
