A video debuted ten years ago, before Disney went too far into awe and just as it was beginning to destroy the theme park experience for long-standing customers. Walt Disney Pictures released” Tomorrowland” on May 22, 2015.

That movie was one of the ones I had the most faith in in 2015 because I anticipated that it would adhere to a process that I’ve written countless words about over the years, which I refer to as Walt Disney’s “optimistic futurism.”
When many people think of Disney, they experience memories, dream, and pleasure, but in fact, Walt had a powerful vision for improving the future than the existing, according to a post from 2013 on that topic. He argued that the future depended on free business and technology.
Walt and his brother Roy were inspired by that vision to buy 43 square miles of land in northern Florida to create Walt Disney World. Disney relied on corporations ( and its own brilliant internal minds ) to come up with creative, creative solutions to problems and create an immersive environment when it developed the” Florida Project,” as the company called it in its development stages.
Note: A portion of the work to create Walt Disney World included creating the Reedy Creek Improvement District, which gave Disney quasi-governmental authority over the home. The negative aspect is that in early years, the business seized enormous advantage of that authority, as I’ve detailed in many articles.

Regardless, to the film. The criticism of” Tomorrowland” was mingled, and people didn’t respond favorably. The issue was that no one knew how to interpret it. It wasn’t simply scientific literature and wasn’t fantasy-like. It was unlike anything else available.

Part of the issue was that the reviewers didn’t comprehend it. The film was perceived as a culture change screed by writers on both the left and right. Breitbart parroted what the Daily Beast wrote about the movie, and the Daily Beast blamed star George Clooney ( who, while he’s a reliable leftist, didn’t write the script ).
It was evident that neither channel had watched the movie to carefully. As I stated in my review of” Tomorrowland,”
The thing is, the drama isn’t really about global warming. According to” Tomorrowland,” environmental disasters are just a small portion of what could lead to the end of the world, and the only character in the show to mention global warming is Governor Nix ( Hugh Laurie ). In reality, the narrative accuses those who portray a world of anger and futuristic doom and gloom…
Instead,” Tomorrowland” does a good job of articulating Walt Disney’s future vision, one that involves the best and brightest philosophers, visionaries, and innovators working together to invent and inspire hope and excitement for the future. The turmoil in the movie stems from the fact that Tomorrowland has lost its sense of hope and has fallen into Governor Nix’s cynicism and doom.

The film” Tomorrowland” is bright, shiny, and optimistic, which perfectly captures Walt Disney’s positively modern perspective. The special effects, special effects, and Michael Giacchino’s index are all outstanding, and the performances are fantastic. It also holds up ten years later. I suggest you go over it for a spin.
