Also the animals can no longer tolerate the murder in Mexico because it has gotten so bad.  ,
Around 700 animals had to be taken out of the Ostok Sanctuary near the city of Culiacán, the state’s funds, to be removed. The condition has been largely taken over by Cártel de Sinaloa, a multinational firm that the State Department describes as one of the “world’s most potent drug cartels and one of the biggest producers and smugglers of morphine and other illegal drugs to the United States.” The Donald Trump administration declared it a criminal firm earlier this year.  ,

One of Joaqun” El Chapo” Guzmán’s children, who is associated with one party, abducted the head of a foe Cártel de Sinaloa last year, flew him to the United States by private planes, and handed him over to specialists. What can only be described as a war has erupted between the two factions since then. At least 1,200 people have died and 1,400 have vanished, according to wikipedia. And those are just the authorized figures.  ,
Ernesto Zazueta, the sanctuary’s manager and the president of AZCARM, the Mexican association of zoos and aquariums, claimed that the situation there has become so bad that he and his team are unable to safely and effectively care for the animals that reside there.  ,
” This kind of violence has never occurred.” We’re concerned that the animals who come here will have a better future,” said Zazueta.  ,
He is concerned about both the lives of his staff and his own. Diego Garcia, one of those employees, claimed that he frequently receives anonymous death threats. There is no safe place in this city these days, he continued.  ,  ,
The animal sanctuary itself is also in danger. If someone doesn’t pay the person or organization who is is issuing the threats, they frequently threaten to burn it to the ground and kill all of the animals. Additionally, they’ve had vehicles and equipment stolen.  ,
There have been instances where they have been prevented from receiving food or other necessities while battling roadblocks or violent conditions, which have resulted in the deaths of two large cats. Many people have gone for days without eating. Some of the animals are losing their fur because they are so stressed out by the sounds of gunfire and helicopters.  ,  ,

When an elephant was injured in March, Zazueta and his team finally decided that enough was enough, but no veterinarians would travel to Culiacán to assist. These vets were concerned for their own safety.  ,
So the team is currently transferring each of the animals to a businessman’s ranch called Bioparque El Encanto, which is located about 140 miles away in the coastal resort town of Mazatlán. For the trip, many of the animals needed to be sedated and kept in cages. To move the elephants, a crane was brought in. Employees of the Sanctuary provided snacks and soothing voices for the animals.  ,
The caravan appeared to be quite a sight. The tops of the cages, trailers, and vehicles were decorated with white flags, a sign of peace. In addition, as the motorcycles left town, men in black and ski masks were peering from their vehicles.  ,
This animal caravan is a replica of Noah’s Ark from the 21st century. The animals aren’t fleeing a flood this time, Zazueta said, but rather insecurity, fear, and anxiety. Here is a video of the sanctuary staff getting the animals ready for the trip ( it’s in Spanish, but it’s still interesting to watch if you don’t speak the language ).
Monkeys, elephants, lions, tigers, jaguars, crocodiles, and exotic birds are among the group of animals. among others. Many of the animals actually came from properties held by cartel members. During raids or when they found numerous big cats tied up in abandoned homes in Mexico, authorities discovered many of them. These cartels reportedly used the cats as retribution at times.  ,

The team is excited to start fresh in a new location, but they’re also cautious. Garcia claimed that violence is quickly pervading Mexico. Zazueta lays the blame on the government for allowing it to continue and not acting.  ,
, Maybe Skip the Livestreaming in Mexico are advised for VIPs.
The new space “was born as a space for healing, respect, and connection with nature,” according to a post on Instagram. It’s more than just another zoo; it’s a regenerative home where each species receives medical, emotional, and specialized care. It will open its doors to the public in August with the support of the likes of César Millán and other notable figures from the animal world and will turn out to be a “unique educational, ecological, and tourist experience in Mexico.”  ,
I sincerely hope that their new home is successful for these guys’ and the animals ‘ sake. Zazueta is a respectable man, and I did a little more research to write this. He devotes a lot of his own time to rescuing animals from cruel treatment and raising awareness of both these and related subjects. It’s unfortunate that cartel violence nearly destroyed so much of his hard work.  ,
Anyway, I made the decision to write about this because I thought it was a fascinating tale, but I also wanted to show once more how violent our southern neighbors have become. I did that last week by writing about two distinct women who were likely killed by cartels while watching live streams within hours of one another. This increase in Mexican violence over the past ten years is estimated to be higher than the number of stories I have planned for the near future.  ,

If this doesn’t support border security, I’m not sure what does. In our nation, we do not want this any more than it already is.  ,
