The independent watchdog group determined that the Trump administration had violated the Impoundment Control Act of 1974 and that the national government “must continue to fulfill the program’s legal needs.”

Sen. Patty Murray (D-WA ) said in a statement that” this legal decision confirms what we’ve long known: The president is breaking the law to obstruct funding that was passed on a bipartisan basis and that is owed to the American people.” &nbsp,

However, a spokesperson for the White House budget department disagreed with GAO’s analysis and claimed that the Transportation Department was “appropriately using” its power to withdraw the program. &nbsp,

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy made the announcement that the EV plan may be discontinued earlier this month. He claimed that failing to implement the program “wast[ing ] time, money, and public trust.”

Despite their claims, the Biden-Buttigieg Administration badly delivered EV batteries. According to Duffy, Congress gave the Secretary the authority to issue program advice and make sure money is being spent wisely, which is exactly what we are doing, according to a statement from the House.

Gene L. Dodaro, the GAO’s mind, reported that the company has opened more than a few investigations into the Trump administration’s attempts to interfere with money that has already been approved by Congress. &nbsp,

The GAO found that the administration had improperly stopped$ 400 billion in aid to Ukraine during Trump’s second management.
